Q: Why did you choose a destination wedding?
A : To keep the wedding intimate, private and special and greater chance of fine weather in Koh Samui than NZ at this time of year
Q: Why did you select the destination and venue you did?
A : Thailand is one of our most favourite destinations in the world, we love the people and the food and Royal Muang Samui Villas was a perfect venue because the resort was private, good quality rooms, great service and offered a range of options for our wedding ceremony venue, food, BYO alcohol. The staff were attentive and accomodating at all times.
Q: Did you have guests attend, and if so, what was their reaction to you having a destination wedding?
A : We had 31 guests attend, most people were delighted that they could fit a holiday into our wedding plans.
Q: What is your favourite memory of the day?
A : The entire day was perfect! My favourite memory was when I arrived at the ceremony, walked up to the aisle and seeing my husband waiting for me. The decorations were beautiful and the view was breath taking, all adding to my experience.
Q: What was the best thing about having a destination wedding?
A : Everything was taken care of and you get to holiday with your family and friends.
Q: What theme or style did you base your wedding decorations on?
A : Didn’t really have a theme, just elegance and style.
Q: How did your wedding coordinator assist you?
A : Aom was brilliant, I would recommend her to anyone wanting to organise a wedding at the same location. She assisted me every step of the way from conception of ideas, execution, styling, organising menu, alcohol options, celebrant and all logistics EVERYTHING – she was also open to suggestion and facilitated the entire process. Her team were also AMAZING!

A : Yes

Q: Why did you choose a destination wedding?
A : Because we have feel something special, something different even when we have writing to each other compare to other hotels in Koh Samui.
Q: Why Royal Muang Samui Villas?
A : Nature, Privacy and we have searching for Pool Villas where we can be completely alone with our private Pool and a lot of space
Q: How did your guests react to you choosing a destination wedding?
A : We did not bring any guests.
Q: What is your favourite memory of the day?
A : Everything! We are still without words! The moment when we was separate before our YES to each other, the upset on the beach, flowers, decoration, music which we could choose – our songs to each other, the photographer, our video of the ceremony, all Royal Muang Samui Villas friendly people…this day was one of the most beautiful and special days in our live!
Q: What was the best thing about having a destination wedding?
A : We wanted a special wedding, that we will never forget, only the best for the best 🙂 To have the wedding on the beach is for us the most romantic way to say yes to each other, and to read the vows to each other.
Q: What theme or style did you base your wedding destinations on?
A : We like colors…purple and pink…and flowers. Key words: romantic, feelings, love…
Q: How did your wedding coordinator assist you?
A : From the moment we arrived in Royal Muang Samui Villas until the day came we need to go it was top of the top! Professional but still super friendly and you feel like family 🙂
Q: What’s your best advice for a couple planning their own destination wedding?
A : Don’t complicate! Ask, tell your wishes! Trust in people like our wedding planner. She now what to do and she is more than good in her business. She is very unique and special in many ways with a lot off feelings and she listen to wishes which she make come true.

Q: Why did you choose a destination wedding?
A : We saw a couple of weddings in Thailand online and instantly fell in love with the gorgeous tropical views. We have never travelled together before and thought that this would be the perfect opportunity to do so and have an extended vacation that we could share with close family and friends! I’m also a wedding photographer myself so really loved the fact that I didn’t have to plan so hard for my own wedding as the venue did most of the hard work.
Q: Why Royal Muang Samui Villas?
A : We did a lot of research online and contacted a few places but none even came close to the beauty of Royal Muang Samui Villas. A huge thing for us was also the fact that the staff could speak english. Communication is very important when organizing a wedding from a different country.
Q: How did your guests react to you choosing a destination wedding?
A : Everybody thought we were joking at first. Some of them seemed to panic a bit about the costs of attending but in the end everyone LOVED it so much!
Q: What is your favourite memory of the day?
A : My favourite memory is walking down the aisle and seeing my husband for the first time. I also loved sitting outside with our guests watching the thunder and the food was amazing too!
Q: What was the best thing about having a destination wedding?
A : Being able to explore a different country with friends and family. We all had so much fun exploring and made so many great memories.
Q: What theme or style did you base your wedding destinations on?
A : Since we were getting married in Thailand I didn’t want any traditional western flowers like roses. I opted to have a mix of lotus flowers and orchids in shades of yellow, green and white, which are abundant in Thailand. I really wanted everything to reflect where we were and have a tropical feel to it.
Q: How did your wedding coordinator assist you?
A : Our coordinator, Aom, was absolutely fantastic! She helped organize absolutely everything and no task was too big or small for her – from letting us swop out our cooking class (we were too full to eat) for a romantic massage to finding us a Christian pastor and reorganizing our entire wedding setup when it started raining heavily! I really feel blessed that we got to have her to help make the process run smoothly. She absolutely went out of her way to help us with any and everything.
Q: What’s your best advice for a couple planning their own destination wedding?
A : Choose a venue that takes care of ALL the details (such as Royal Muang Samui) – the pastor, flowers, decor, wedding certificates, cake etc. I relieves all the stress from having to plan things from a different country and let’s you focus simply on finding the perfect dress!

Q: Why did you choose a destination wedding?
A : We wanted our wedding to be something special and we decided to get married at a country that has a meaning for us two and where we could feel relaxed and enjoy the nice weather and the fantastic food.
Q: Why Royal Muang Samui Villas?
A : Royal Muang Samui Villas offered us a great value package for a wedding for just the two of us. We were looking for a package that combined unique accommodation, a good location on a quiet seaside town, good service, a program that combines a western wedding and the offering at the Buddhist temple. And we also were looking for a wedding location without many tourists and an intimate atmosphere. We are more than happy that we found all these requirements at Royal Muang Samui Villas.
Q: How did your guests react to you choosing a destination wedding?
A : We did not have guests, but our friends and families liked the pictures very much 😉
Q: What is your favourite memory of the day?
A : When the bride arrived at the terrace where we were having the ceremony, the foto session on the beach and planting the tree. Too many nice memories…

A : Feeling so relaxed, enjoying the hospitality of the people of Thailand and Koh Samui, having dinner with food that we love…

A : Western wedding and buddhist monk offering; the best combination of both worlds!

A : Our wedding coordinator “Aom” did a great job by coordinating everything and preparing a fantastic ceremony. We just had to decide on the details and the menu and everything else was taken care by her. We trusted her from the first moment on 🙂
Q: What’s your best advice for a couple planning their own destination wedding?
A : Make sure that you select a good location that you both like, a good wedding planner to make your life easier and, very important, a good photographer to have great memories of your wedding.

We chose this resort as our wedding location and we spent 9 nights in a pool villa. We carefully scouted dozen of alternatives in Samui and in this price range, we found a rare pearl.

Aom was our wedding coordinator. She managed a flawless organization, creative and thoughtful, in any details. We dreamed of an intimate and special ceremony with our five children. Our dream became reality. Outstanding job!
Beyond the gift of mother nature for the great location and the gifted architects and decorators realizing the infrastructures, what makes this resort special is the human, humble, smiling, pleasing attitude of all the personnel. From the lady serving coffees to the team of room services, all make an outstanding job in being always available but somehow discrete as they were wearing with grace the invisibility cloak.
We were always surrounded by smiles. A rare quality indeed.
